Our 38 acre West Midlands DC in Droitwich specialises in the storage and distribution of chemicals and hazardous products.
The DC is located on a secure, rural complex in Worcestershire. It has 30,000 sq. m (286,000 sq. ft.) of warehousing and currently handles a wide range of flammable, toxic, corrosive materials such as paint and agricultural chemicals.
Versatile Storing, Picking and Packing Facility
As well as providing dedicated and shared user general warehousing, our Droitwich DC has specialist facilities including bunded storage and temperature controlled warehousing.
“We offer break bulk services, order picking, packaging and re-packaging,” says Steve McCarthy, Droitwich DC’s General Manager. He continues, “We also have ISO container discharging and packing, supported by the latest IT and software systems.
“Droitwich is a top tier COMAH DC, which has an ISO 9001:2008 quality accreditation. The DC has also recently been evaluated by the Safety and Quality Assessment System (SQAS).”
SQAS is a Europe-wide assessment system which evaluates the quality, safety, security and environmental performance of logistics service providers and chemical distributors.
The SQAS report on our Droitwich DC states:
“The company showed good controls throughout the assessment with a commitment to customer satisfaction. There was also a respect for health and safety and environmental issues. It is a large, well-tended DC with roadways of a respectable standard. Product was well stored and the warehouses exhibited a good standard of housekeeping.”
